AAA Engineering designed multiple facility upgrades throughout the Illinois Tollway. Through an evolving series of Task Orders, AAA worked closely with Tollway to define and develop projects.

Some of the design included the Traffic Operation Center and Police Dispatch Center. This new Operation Control Center is designed for continuous operation 24/7. Security is a top priority throughout the new area. AAA was tasked with selecting security doors, high impact windows, card readers for door access and the layout of cameras to provide full coverage in all hallways/corridors and access points. AAA designed a new electrical room, UPS and back-up generator power. We specified video storage software. All new camera feeds will be integrated into the existing Tollway security protocols. AAA designed and specified multi-headed cameras, placement and provided all electrical design. LED emergency lighting was designed with back-up generators in the case of generalized power loss.
